The Victorian Government invested $115 million in the redevelopment of the Maryborough and District Hospital, delivering a new state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility for the growing central Victorian community. The upgrade has delivered a new urgent care centre, a 32-bed inpatient unit, two operating theatres, and a dedicated maternity unit with birthing suites, enabling the hospital to treat more than 4,000 additional patients every year.
Designed by Studio STH and delivered by builder Fairbrother, the redevelopment called for a durable, low-maintenance façade suited to a busy healthcare environment. Façade installer Spective Group fitted Tempio Terracotta cladding across the new facility, combining glazed White Palma (Satin) tiles with the Tempio FK-2B and FK16 tile profiles for a warm, contemporary finish.
The result is a modern, welcoming facility that improves patient flow and gives Maryborough District Health Service a contemporary environment to deliver safer, more efficient care to its community.
