Listelos+ Façade Projects

Wohnüberbauung Bäret, Switzerland

Tempio Listelos Plus Façade System

For the Bäret district in Switzerland, the Albrecht Architecture studio used Listelos Plus in shades of green to create these buildings with sinuous shapes that blend in with the surrounding nature.

Listelos Plus is one of Tempio’s range of new-generation ceramic tiles that reshape a building in an innovative way and add volume to the architecture. Given their small size, multiple shapes and infinite possibilities in terms of colours, the use of these pieces in the Bäret neighbourhood was crucial due to the replacement of all the building’s corners with curved tops in which the versatility and dimensions of the pieces allowed them to be generated in a simple way.

Delphinstrasse, Switzerland

Tempio Listelos Plus Façade System

The Delphinstrasse apartment building is located in the city centre of Zurich, in the 8th district, a district characterised by its historic buildings.

In this urban context, the Delphinstrasse building strongly adopts the formal language of the neighbouring buildings. It is divided into three parts, the base as a mezzanine, the central section and the mansard roof. The porcelain stoneware slabs on the façade, Listelos Plus by Tempio, give the house a high-quality, urban expression.

The stepped balconies are an additional design element that breaks up the structure and adds volume to the building. The façade is thus exposed and allows for an orderly and harmonious design with window openings and projections.

Kkthun Culture & Congress Centre, Switzerland

Tempio Listelos Plus Façade System

This project consisted of the remodeling of the Kkthun Culture And Congress Center meeting room, in the city of Thun, into a culture and congress center lined with Tempio’s Listelos Plus. One of the great challenges was the overall restrictive framework of the project.

The spatial situation of the place was limited and the financial resources limited, conditioning the designers and room for maneuver. With the strategic use of resources, interventions could be reduced to a minimum, leaving the meeting room with its fixed seat practically “intact” and creating a perfect fusion with the environment thanks to the colors of our Listelos Plus.

Sustainability

Effort

We assume responsibility for climate protection and the energy turnaround in Germany as an energy-intensive production company. Therefore, we have committed ourselves to ecologically compatible and sustainable manufacturing processes.

Efficiency

Our tiles and clinker brick slips are manufactured exclusively in modern and efficient production facilities. High energy efficiency, the use of state-of-the-art waste gas purification systems for reduced emissions, and the resource-conserving use of natural raw materials obtained in proximity to our manufacturing facilities are integral components of our active environmental and production management.

Recycling

Residues from the production process of our ceramics, such as firing and drying residues, glaze residues or water, are entirely recycled and returned to the production cycle as secondary raw materials. Waste heat from the firing process is used to dry the ceramics in the upstream manufacturing process. Throughout the company, we rely 100% on green power from alternative and renewable energy sources

Brick Slip Projects

Tower Building, Germany

Ströher Brick to Click Rainscreen Façade Systems

The unusual architecture here forms a contrast to the surroundings, and yet still fits in with old structures. But the clinker brick slips façade from Ströher is a highlight, too.

The deliberately chosen architectural firing and hand-sorted brick slips set coloured accents on the facade, which integrate particularly harmoniously with the surroundings. This takes the harshness out of the consistent modern architecture and communicates a playful ease that is found throughout the entire residential area.

Parkside, Germany

Ströher Brick to Click Rainscreen Façade Systems

Two timelessly modern dwelling, each with seven storeys, were erected on a plot covering 3,200 square meters directly below Freudenstadt’s Kienberg district. The highlight: both buildings accommodate seven exclusively designed flats, as a “house-in-house” concept, with floor areas of between 150 and 200 m2, which each stretch across the entire storey area.

Compared with similarly sized single-family houses, “Parkside” thus offers plenty of living space with less use of floor area. The design of the facade for this building complex is also in line with this requirement: the highly insulated ETICS facade (StoTherm Mineral) was clad with Zeitlos 359 kohleglanz clinker brick slips from Ströher in NF format and combined with plaster surfaces for design reasons.

B3 Campus, Germany

Ströher Brick to Click Rainscreen Façade Systems

This successful urban development turned what used to be the not very pretty district of Kalk into a popular business and office location. One of these prestigious properties is now getting a makeover in the form of 5,000 m2 cladded with clinker brick slips from Ströher.

Today the dazzling building on historic ground impresses partly thanks to clinker brick slips from Ströher. The choice was taken to use an architectural firing product specially developed for the building, which captures the history of the site and complements the industrial-looking character with a classic brick look.

Textures

Add liveliness and depth to any facade. The various structures create an exciting interplay of light and shadow.

lumber

lumber is based on an authentic natural look. A homogeneous wood grain lends the building envelope a strong depth effect. Similar to wood, the facade panels have a multi-layered effect, but unlike wood, they do not require additional weather protection.

Edit Content

Slate

The appearance of the new slate texture is based on slate slabs and their natural layers. A unique light refraction occurs at the edges of the rock layers, causing them to stand out to varying degrees depending on the angle the light hits. Since light conditions change over the course of the day, the facade with this texture has a different appearance depending on the time of day.

Edit Content

twine

Irregular lines playfully run across the slabs like ribbons. The combination of straight and angled, partially overlapping lines of different sizes creates an exciting visual effect on the facade. The flow of the lines harmoniously integrates into the overall picture.

Edit Content

vintage

The natural imperfection and visual irregularity of the vintage panels give the facade a unique appearance and above all individuality, since no slab is like any other.

Edit Content

luce silver

The addition of mica gives the facade a glittering, shimmering appearance. Depending on how the sunlight falls, the particles reflect in different ways and create unique effects. This is definitely the texture for individual highlights.

Edit Content

terrazzo black

The coarse, dark grain gives this slab a individual look. A special surface treatment lends the texture a unique speckled appearance, which forms an exciting contrast especially with light colours. terrazzo black gives the facade a discreet two-tone effect.

Edit Content

glossy (Interior)

The exquisite texture is an interior highlight and an elegant eye-catcher. The shiny surface reflects the light and creates a new space effect. The slabs have a different look depending on how the light falls. This texture particularly emphasises the vivid surface characteristic of concrete with its interplay of colour shades and cloud effects. The natural appearance of the material changes over time, giving each panel a unique look.

Edit Content

groove

Accentuated lines in three different finishes ferro soft, ferro light and ferro create a lively relief and set exciting highlights on every facade.

Öko Skin Stripes

The new öko skin stripes with three different widths enable architects numerous possibilities in slatted design. They are available in a length of 2500 or 3100 mm and a width of 70, 147 and 302 mm. The sequencing of the slats is pre-defined.

Öko Skin Hidden Fix

The newly developed invisible fastening system hidden fix for öko skin facade slats enables quick and easy installation. With the concealed attachment, the öko skin slats are even more effective, since the overall appearance is not marred by rivets or screws. Rieder supplies all fastening components as well as the öko skin slats. These are delivered to the site already pre-drilled, whereby the installation effort is reduced. Rieder provides a calculation tool to calculate the exact number of required components.

Den Grønne Fatning, Denmark

Tempio Rustikotta Terracotta Façade System

In Hoerkaer, Herlev, a new residential area called Den Grønne Fatning has been erected, housing several residential buildings that vary in both height and façade expression.

As part of the façade of the buildings, two different Tempio Rustikotta colours were used to create contrasts in the façade: Red Flamed and Anthracite, which bring the beauty and ruggedness typical of classic Danish buildings.

The technical advantages of Rustikotta make it ideal for this type of climate thanks to its resistance to thermal shocks and its capacity for thermal insulation, zero maintenance and energy savings, among many others.

Brf Blanka, Sweden

Tempio Rustikotta Terracotta Façade System

For the Brf Blanka family homes, the Rustikotta Red Flamed was selected as a comprehensive solution to the building’s aesthetics. This color, in addition to representing simplicity and elegance, provides an aesthetic renovation, revealing a modern building without losing the features of the facades of the past. Using similar shades, but with new and improved materials. A renewed and fresh air for these homes located in Sweden.

This color was chosen as it offers great richness and contrast. Its easy installation on site, its great energy savings and its excellent thermal insulation, endow the Rustikotta with very good properties for placement in a building with these characteristics.

Tempio Terracotta Tile Cladding

Tempio Terracotta
Façade Systems

The Tempio terracotta tile rainscreen/ventilated facade system offers a wide variety of aesthetic qualities for building facades. The numerous advantages include improved thermal and acoustic properties, extended warranty periods, low embodied energy ratings, ease of installation, non-combustible fire rating and sustainable production processes.

Ventilated or Rainscreen Facade systems are now the external wall construction systems of choice for architects, facade engineers, builders, facade contractors and developers alike.
This evolution in facade technologies ensures quality of outcome from not just an aesthetic point of view but in terms of non-combustibility, thermal and acoustic insulation and most importantly ongoing weather-tightness for the life of the building.

A Ventilated Facade system consists of:

  • A waterproof/vapour permeable Rigid Air Barrier (RAB board) or frame wrap to the outside of the frame to form the back pan of the cavity.
  • Insulation
  • Installation of the façade substrate, typically manufactured in aluminium
  • Installation of an open façade system that allows moisture to penetrate the façade whilst at the same time allowing fast an efficient drying of the internal cavity area.

Tempio Rainscreen FK System

This system has open vertical and overlapping horizontal joints. Composed of brackets, vertical T profile, horizontal rails and metallic springs which have an anti-rattling function.

When installing it, the facade contractor will constantly be checking levels and the plane of the facade. The contractor will install the aluminium substructure to the frame of precast concrete substrate.

Open joints improve the ventilation of the facade. The main advantages of this facade system is that it is relatively easy install at approximately 28kg/m2. This makes it a light, cost-efficient and reliable system.

The team of agronomists and landscape architects supports the customer in choosing the best plants and seeds for the realization based on the location of the project.

In collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano, Zero Gravity Eden panels were installed inside the University Center to test the benefits of the environmental impact of the Green Walls in a metropolitan city like that of Milan.

ItalMesh Façade Projects

Cantarelli, Italy

Bespoke Powder Coated ItalMesh

Cladding of the warehouse and office building of a company dedicated to the storage and aging of Parmigiano Reggiano in Felino, in the province of Parma.

The architect was inspired by the history and tradition of the geographical area, in fact the coating, made with the Siena300R model mesh, recalls the shape of the cheese that the company processes.

The panels have been entirely profiled, calendered and press-folded with a particular processing in order to obtain the desired result. The color of the untreated forms of Parmigiano Reggiano is black, and to  maintain a link with tradition it was decided to use the matt black RAL 9005.

Techno Hub, Dubai

ItalMesh Metal Mesh Façade System

The first project of smart city wanted by the strategic management of the government of Dubai. It includes offices, residences, commercial areas, sports and leisure areas.

The buildings are constituted by a double façade, the outdoor one of which uses the metal sheet mesh as a shading, assembled on a framework, Grey colour RAL 9006. The Metal mesh, framed, keeps the interchange between indoor and outdoor of the building, in order to control the incidence of sunlight

Guarni & Med, Italy

ItalMesh Metal Mesh Façade System

Cladding of an industrial complex in the province of Bergamo for which 700 panels of ItalMesh model Siena 150 expanded mesh, powder coated Metalized Bronze and 50 modules of Zero Gravity Eden vertical garden were used.

The façade, in addition to having a strong aesthetic impact, thanks to the installation of vertical garden panels, has become 100% sustainable.

Stroher Clinker Brick Slips

Ströher Brick to Click Rainscreen
Façade Systems

Exposed brickwork – in a ventilated curtain facade. Quick and easy installation that is not dependent on the weather. No mortar required and no gluing associated with traditional brick slips, no laborious bricklaying and well, no bricklayer required! Fully recyclable and sustainably resource efficient.

The Brick to Click system from Ströher can also be utilised internally.

In the past, for structural reasons, the classic exposed brickwork look has traditionally been created by laying bricks onto a stable foundation or gluing them onto an ETIC  (External Thermal Insulation Composite) System, but innovative clinker facades with curtain and ventilated curtain systems are now becoming increasingly popular.

  • Simple to assemble by sliding or hooking the rear profiled brick slips onto a proprietary aluminium rail system at the rear.
  • No mortar, no water and therefore no efflorescence.
  • Maximum facade protection provided by genuine clinker against the likes of frost, heat, driving rain, snow and hail.
  • Efficient thermal protection resulting from variations in insulation thickness.
  • System components can be fully recycled.
  • Equally suited to both onsite installation or curtain wall/unitised/panelised applications.
  • Individual components are manufactured in a way that conserves resources.

Sizes

285 x 85mm, 22.7mm thick standard.

STRÖHER Brick to Click. Clinker Engineering.

Stroeher brings the beauty of traditional brick facades together with the functionality and ease of a brick slip installation.

Eliminating the need for traditional adhesive and mortar. Also creating a much easier and less labour intensive install that can be completed in a fraction of the time.

Ventilated-curtain-facades

The Benefits of Ventilated Curtain Facades (VCF)

Ventilated curtain facades (VCF) are technologically high-quality, economically sustainable facade systems.

The separation of the load-bearing and space enclosure functions from the weather protection and thermal insulation functions via an intermediate ventilation zone creates a highly effective structural design which guarantees the removal of moisture caused by water vapour diffusion or driving rain.

For quick, jointless and durably resilient facades. For protection against frost, heat, driving rain, snow, hail, acid, moss, algae, dirt and mechanical influences.

Brick to Click Projects

Each colour is available in three surfaces.
